ATLANTA, GA – The week of December 6th, Women Engaged (WE) will celebrate its seven-year anniversary with a week-long virtual and in-person experience for donors, members, activists, partners, and community members. This seven-year celebration is being held to honor the transformative work WE have done within voter engagement, leadership development, and reproductive justice. WE will also present its new, exciting, and innovative plans for the future.

Throughout the week, Women Engaged will celebrate its years of work advancing women’s human rights, youth empowerment, and civic engagement efforts in Georgia. With five days, each with a unique theme that exemplifies WE’s work, participants will be able to see the full range of WE’s impact, connect with others that support this vital work, and have fun doing it! Highlights include virtual panel discussions, a presentation of WE’s impact report, a family-friendly fitness class, the reveal of a mural by acclaimed local artist Charmaine Minniefield, and more throughout the week.

Women Engaged is thrilled to have this opportunity to highlight the work and leaders who embody the values of its organization. Since 2014, WE has worked to support Black women and young adults to become impactful leaders, effective agents for social change, and effective participants in our civic process. We hope to lead the WE community, both longtime members and new friends, in thoughtful participation throughout the week and as we move into the future continuing and expanding our work.
